Batch your content: a week of social media in one sitting
5 min read
A batching workflow for creators: generate image variants in parallel, pick winners fast, animate the best ones, and script it all with a CLI when volume grows.
Making content daily is a treadmill. Making it weekly, in one focused sitting, is a schedule. The difference is batching, and AI generation is unusually well suited to it because the expensive step (waiting on renders) parallelizes while the valuable step (your taste) concentrates into short review sessions.
The session below reliably fills a week of social media in an afternoon.
1. Generate variants in parallel, then triage
Start in the image studio with your topics for the week. For each topic, generate a batch of four variants rather than one image at a time. Batches are priced per output (four images cost exactly four times one image, 20 to 60 credits per batch depending on the model), and generations run in parallel — two to eight at once depending on your plan, listed on pricing — so a full week's raw material renders while you make coffee.
Then triage fast. The feed shows everything side by side; keep the strong ones, favorite the keepers, and do not touch the rest. Batch review is where consistency comes from too: variants viewed in a lineup either hold your brand look or visibly do not (the discipline from the on-brand guide applies here wholesale).
2. Promote winners to video
Pick the two or three stills with the most motion potential and animate them. A five second draft on a small model is 86 credits, and a still that survives triage usually animates well because it was composed cleanly. The step-by-step is in the product video walkthrough; the short version is: one motion idea per clip, vertical if the platform is vertical.
3. Batch the audio too
Voiceover batches beautifully because scripts batch. Write the week's captions or narration lines in one document, then generate them in one session with your house voice (if you have not picked one, this takes five minutes). Same for music: one prompt, a few variations, and the week shares a sonic identity. See the music guide for prompts that work.
4. Script it when volume outgrows the studio
Past a certain volume, clicking is the bottleneck. The same account drives a command line tool and an MCP connector, so the batch session itself can become a script: a shell loop that renders every product in a folder against this month's template, or an agent instruction like "generate the Tuesday and Thursday posts from this topic list using @product and @look." Costs stay identical across surfaces, and every call still carries an explicit spending cap.
The budget shape
A representative week: six topics times four image variants (say 360 credits on a flagship image model), three animated drafts plus one flagship finish (508), the week's voice lines (about 50), music (24). That is 942 credits, about ten dollars at the one cent face value, and the credits that drafts consume are the cheap ones. The full arithmetic style is in the costs post, but the shape is what matters: batching concentrates spend into drafts you triage cheaply, and your expensive generations happen only after something has already survived your own filter.
Guard the sitting
The failure mode of batching is letting it dissolve into daily dabbling again. Put the session on the calendar, generate more variants than feels necessary (triage is cheap, regret is not), and stop when the week is stocked. The treadmill stays off exactly as long as the sitting stays scheduled.
